Did you know that every open tab in Google Chrome can chew up your computer's memory, causing the machine to slow down or even freeze? Chrome is a great browser, but often tabs left open will consume resources, even when you're not looking at them. The Great Suspender is a free plug-in for Google Chrome which automatically suspends any tab you haven't looked at after a pre-determined amount of time. Tabs can be "put to sleep" in as quick as 20 seconds. When you want to "wake up" the tab again, you simply click on the tab's "sleeping screen" to reload it.
